In our work together, you will identify areas you want to address to live a more complete life that aligns with your values. I have experience using a number of therapeutic modalities to inform the work we do together, but most importantly, we will spend time centering your full, lived experience, as obsessive dieting, disordered eating and eating disorders do not exist in a vacuum. Being treated as a complete person and using the support systems you have in your life is fundamental in restoring your relationship to your body and food. During our sessions, we will address education of nutrition, fear foods, stressful situations with food, connecting to your body and using therapeutic skills. We  also can engage in cooking meals, grocery shopping and other challenging activities involving food & nourishment.

Experience:

I have been working with folks struggling with eating disorders and disordered eating since 2016. My experience includes 5 years at a residential facility, both as a clinician and then managing the nutrition department. Having worked in a residential facility I gained a deeper, more well-rounded understanding of the treatment of eating disorders and the importance of collaboration. In outpatient settings it is just as crucial to work as a collective - including therapists, psychiatrists, primary doctors and most importantly, you, the client. My goal is to provide comprehensive care that brings in other professionals to provide a holistic client-centered approach.

Areas of Focus:

  • Eating Disorders - Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating, OSFED and ARFID

  • Disordered Eating

  • Intuitive Eating

Philosophy:

Your goals are what is important and there is no one right way to reach those goals. Through always centering self compassion in our work and exploring different skills, therapies and techniques I hope to support your growth. All foods can fit, all bodies deserve nourishment and change takes time.

I am passionate about empowering clients to break free from rigid food rules and find a way of relating to food and body that fosters trust, balance, and recovery. We will begin by exploring the unique experiences that have shaped your relationship with food, gaining insight into your personal journey. From there, we’ll focus on building a deeper connection with your body’s wisdom, creating a foundation for achieving your health goals. My approach prioritizes compassionate, personalized care in a safe and judgment-free space where your story is valued, your experiences respected, and you feel empowered to make meaningful progress in a way that feels authentic to you.
